Well, that’s that, the project's officially finished. But let me tell you, this turned out to be anything like what I expected. He pocketed/stole/disappeared with my deposit/money/funds, leaving behind a half-finished/incomplete/chaotic job. My bathroom/kitchen/garden is now in even worse shape than before, and I'm left stranded/high and dry/out of pocket.
To make matters worse/more frustrating/even more infuriating, Checkatrade's customer service/support team/helpline was useless/unhelpful/incompetent.
